Marketwatch, (21/8) -- Oil futures held steady in electronic trade Wednesday, arresting their sharp drop as the impending release of Federal Reserve meeting minutes loomed over the market.Benchmark U.S. October crude oil was little changed, rising a penny to $105.12 a barrel as it replaced the expiring September contract.October crude had fallen 1.6%, and September crude had lost 2% in Tuesday’s trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange, with action volatile due to the contract expiration.October Brent crude saw similarly muted moves early Wednesday, slipping 13 cents, or 0.1%, to $110.02 a barrel after making a mild 0.2% gain Tuesday.
